Leon Fedinec accompanied the inspectors during the first part of the inspection. <br />The pit was inactive at the time of the inspection and there are no immediate plans to <br />restart mining activities. The current financial warranty ie $2500.00. This warranty will <br />be reviewed to determine if it ie adequate to reclaim this quarry. Upon completion of this <br />review the operator will be notified about whether the current financial warranty is adequate <br />to reclaim the site. <br />The mine site did not have a mine identification sign posted at its entrance and no <br />perimeter markers were observed. Both of these items are being recorded ae problems that <br />must be addressed under page 3 of this report. In addition, Dalmatian toadflax and Canada <br />thistle were both observed oneite in what would be described ae a small infestation. These <br />noxious weeds, along with any other noxious weeds, should be controlled through appropriate <br />physical, chemical, or biological control methods.
