The operator has not responded to concerns addressed in the last two <br />inspection reports. <br />2. The present E6,500.00 bond is based on a maximum disturbance of 5 acres <br />~a.a`~' mn disturbance and 5 acres minor disturbance. <br />3. Abundant equipment is present on site, including crushing, screening, <br />and washing equipment, front end loader, haul trucks, water truck, and <br />scales. A11 the equipment belongs to Bailey Construction Company of Meeker. <br />Bill Bailey told me they are doing all the work, though Bar 70 Enterprises <br />holds the permit. <br />4. The following area estimates were made by use of a measuring wheel: <br />-Ma- 'mun~ di sturbance: <br />Presently used pit: 10.1 acres <br />Topsoil stockpiles <br />East of pit 0.3 acres <br />North of pit 3.9 acres (may include overburden stockpile) <br />Moderate disturbance: <br />Partially reclaimed east pit wall 1.5 acres <br />Roads (visual estimate only) 1 acre <br />Minor disturbance: 0 acres <br />5. Reclamation on the east pit wall has consisted of backfilling and <br />grading to 3:1 slopes. Some topsoil may have been respread. <br />t%z; I <br />6. Pit walls typically are ,5: slopes and sparsely vegetated. <br />7. Topsoil stockpiled (and overburden?) north of the pit are well vegetated <br />and stable. Minor slumpage cracks were noted on the south side where piles <br />are adjacent to the pit wall. <br />8. There are approximately 93,000 cubic yards of topsoil and overburden <br />materials available for backfilling the existing pit. Additional gravel <br />stockpiles are present on the north and west portions of the pit. <br />
