Offsde Support FacihUes <br />Soil Methane Area <br />No visual changes were noted in the areas to the east of the permit area where methane in <br />the soil has been noted for the past eight years. The presence of weeds in the bare areas <br />would indicate a reduction in levels of methane and an increase in soil oxygen. No <br />significant growth of weeds on affected areas was noted. The area will continue to be <br />monitored. <br />Ron Thompson of Peak Project Management provided a preliminary review copy of a bond <br />release request (SL-05) pertaining to a planned bond release of Industrial Land Use areas. <br />This document package was hand carried to the DMG office. <br />Overall, this reclaimed site appeared in excellent condition for the summer season <br />A recent Technical Revision (TR•56) changed the land use for the Apache Canyon vent <br />shafts to Industrial Use due to coal bed methane activities being conducted in the canyon <br />and surrounding area. Pipeline and construction activities were observed on the reclaimed <br />area of the lower vent shaft location. <br />
