In either case, a revision to the permit must be submitted to incorporate the new north
perimeter road into the permit and include reclamation plans and costs for that road, or a specification that the road will be a
permanent feature along with an agreement to that effect, signed and notarized by the landowner.
Revegetation establishment on areas that were reported as reclaimed and seeded has not been very successful. Now is the
time to take measures to identify a revegetation plan that will be effective in establishing adequate vegetative cover on the
affected areas. Marginal success to date may be due to the past several years of drought, or may be due to other factors such
as soil handling, seed application timing, soil structure or fertility problems, etc. Please specify what measure GJP will employ
in an attempt to increase success establishing vegetation on this site.
The reclamation cost estimate for this site is due to be updated. DMG will wait for revisions to be submitted in response to this
report and additional reclamation to be performed prior to recalculating the bond amount. The calculation will be performed as
part of the revision process, or as a stand alone update, by June 30, 2005.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Steve Shuey at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3r° Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone number 970-243-6368.
I & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME Ed Settle ^ BL
OPERATOR Grand Junction Pipe and Suoply ^ FS
STREET P.
