A single sediment pond also remains at the portal area. Ditches and berms direct runoff to
the pond. The pond was found dry. Ditches and berms were observed in good condition
with no breaches or damage noted.
Fish and Wildlife
Evidence of elk using the reclaimed portal area was obvious. The small size of the
disturbance in the rocky, brush-covered terrain creates edge and diversity that benefits
wildlife in the area.
FZevegr_tation
As noted above, cattle were grazing the loadout/tipple area. Given the small size of the
reclaimed area, the five-six cattle observed will rapidly over-graze the reclaimed area unless
they are moved to other rangeland. Vegetation at the portal area consists mostly of rubber
rabbitbrush, western wheat grass, downy brome, curly cup gumweed, and grams grasses.
Cover is very good due to the density of the mature rabbitbrush.
Develoament Waste
A small refuse disposal area is located on a bench east of the portal reclaimed area. Ditches
and berms divert any runoff from this area to the single sediment pond. No erosion, slides,
slumps, or seeps were noted.
`... .
TIN PINE- - ,: ~_
TWIN PINES INVESTME~~;j -
FALCON ENERGY INC
REFUSE PILE -
M. $ H A I D No i2u C0 09 C!I93UI I
`-~~~
i~3.~'-J.1~
j~7.t+1(/ ~ r
,y
I7 ~ • _' 1.
~C i' ~
r '
.. ~.
