III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
fabric silt fence had been removed, with the "back up" yellow plastic fencing left in place. The
yellow plastic material is not functional as a sediment filter, and a replacement filter fabric silt
fence needs to be installed as soon as possible.
TOpSOiI
The topsoil stockpile is adequately stabilized by vegetation, but the vegetation cover is dominated
by annual brome (cheatgrass), which could present problems with future final revegetation efforts
it the cheatgrass infestation is not controlled. This concern was brought to the operator's
attention in a recent Annual Reclamation Report review letter, and submittal of a cheatgrass
control plan was requested.
Revegetation
Minor grading and stabilization seeding was recently completed as requested on the portions of
the construction material stockpile that was disturbed last fall by borrow for material to be used in
pond embankment reconstruction.
