III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the
inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or
evidence supporting the enforcement action.
The drainage channel located below former temporary Stock Pond T15 was never incorporated
into the permit application package. After the removal and reclamation of Stock Pond T I5, the
channel has remained in place. If this diversion of overland flow is no longer needed then it
should be removed and the affected land regraded, topsoiled, and revegetated in accordance with
4.06, 4.14, and 4.15. If this is a permanent post mine feature then the channel needs to be
designed, maintained and constructed in accordance with Rule 4.05.3. Since SCC is preparing a
technical revision for changes to other post mine channels at this time, please incorporate this
channel below the former Stock Pond T15 into the permit document as well. All appropriate
maps showing the location of the channel should be updated accordingly.
Topsoil and Reve etation
Grass was beginning to grow in the upper Wolf Creek Pit and East Wadge Pit azeas. Overall
these locations appeared stable. Some minor rills have formed in the recently seeded azea to the
northeast of the Permanent Road above the PM-6 culvert crossing. Rills aze also present on the
hillside above and to the north of permanent Stock Pond T32. Please monitor erosion in these
azeas and implement appropriate measures to repair and reduce erosion at these locations.
Sunport Facilities
The two bone yazds and the shoplfacilities azea were cleaz of snow. These locations were muddy
but accessible. The road surface azound the facilities azea was heavily rutted. Drainage away
from the shop/facilities azea was adequate. Road scrapings are stockpiled on the southwest side
of the facilities above the ditch leading to Pond 003. Please continue to maintain this azea to
ensure that road scrapings aze not placed in the ditch.
