MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn-t 977-4F5
INSPECTION DATE: q/rg/ns INSPECTOR- S INITIALS: ~-
OBSERVATIONS
1. This inspection was performed os part of the four-year monitoring program conducted by the Division of
Minerals and Geology. Present at the inspection was Kate Pickford, DMG. Jirn Lynn of Park County
Rood and Bridge was contacted regarding the inspection, but wos unable to attend. Weather of the
time of the inspection was clear, calm, and approximately 75 degrees.
2. An appropriate sign is posted at the mine entrance. The boundaries at the site, however, are not
marked, which hindered the inspection of the site due to the inability to isolate the disturbance in the
area related to this mining operation (See Problem 1, Page 3 of this report).
3. Disturbance at the site, which appears to be a result of old activity, consists of an excavated area.
There is a mount of material on the north side of the pit, and the north edge of the pit is sloped more
steeply than the standards set in the approved reclamation plan (See Problem 2, Page 3 of this report).
Vegetation in the disturbed area is sparse and not comparable to adjacent, undisturbed areas.
4. According to material submitted by Park County relative to this site, the site has been in reclamation
since the fall of 1995 (See problem 2, Page 3). Inspection reports in 1997 and 2001 identified the same
reclamation problems cited in this report, and these problems have not been resolved. the operator
should contact Division staff or the local Soil Conservation Service for recommendations on how tc
establish vegetation at the site.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Jim Lynn
OPERATOR: Pnrk County_@ond and Brid;TP
STREET: P n Rnx 147
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Frnrpiny ccn :3n44n
Cc: ^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
X Other Harry Posey, DMG
