Buffalo burr, a small, low growing.weed, was noted in the bottom of pond 4. The operator
should attempt to treat this weed using a pesticide suited for aquatic applications.
Reclamation Success
All parties agreed that revegetation at the site has changed significantly since last year and
has improved regarding establishment of grasses and suppression of annual weeds. DMG
will continue to monitor improvement of vegetation and presence of weeds requiring
treatment. Inspector Gorham contacted George Patterson of Energy Fuels Mining Company
on July 26, 2005 and instructed him to contact Mr. Phillips concerning treatment of the
Russian knapweed. Issues regarding the RDA road and pond 4 water will be monitored and
handled as necessary as future developments occur. DMG will continue to document the
presence or absence of water in pond 4 during routine inspections. DMG will send electronic
copies of the monthly inspections to the landowners.
Overall, areas inspected appeared in good condition for the summer season.
5
