III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the mspec6on. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology. The Rimrock Mine consists of approximately seven acres of <br />reclamation. The 2004 growing season is the eleventh (11) growing season after reseeding. <br />The ground was dry and the weather was warm. <br />Availability of Records <br />The public copy of the mine records is kept at the office of the Las Animas County Planner at <br />the county courthouse located in Trinidad. All records were found current and in compliance. <br />The results of this records check can be found on page 2a of this report. <br />Hydrologic Balance <br />The sediment pond at the site was dry. Adjacent Engleville Gulch was not flowing water. The <br />trickle tube spillway was clear of debris and the emergency spillway appeared in good <br />condition.
