?;INE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #'M-BO-L21 INSPECTION DATE October 20, 1999 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS TAS The following problems (PB) and/or possible violations (PV) (and suggested corrective actions) were identified during this inspection. The problems should be corrected by the dates given, or they will become possible violations. The possible violations should be corrected by the dates given to reduce their severity when considered by the Mined Land Reclamation Board. The inspector noted on the previous page should be notified of all corrective actions taken. PROBLEMS/POSSIBLE VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS CORRECTION DATE - 1. The operation has been inactive for over 365 days and is not in compliance with the requirements of Rule 1.13 for temporary cessation. CORRECTIVE MEASURES The operator will file on or before November 30, 1999 a notice of the desired status of the Pierce Pit. The notice should be for either active status, intermittant activity, or temporary cessation. A notice for intermittant activity should comply with the requirements of Rule 1.13.7. A notice for temporary cessation should comply with the requirements of Rule 1.13.5. 2. There was evidence of rill and gully erosion within the permit area. These features signify unstable slopes that will not be acceptable for financial warranty release. CORRECTIVE MEASURES Prior to approval of financial warranty release, the operator will need to demonstrate stable slopes suitable for wildlife habitat. Any plans for stabilization of the existing slopes or any desired changes to the approved reclamation plan regarding site grading, topsoil application, soil amendments, or revegetation will need to be submitted to the Division for approval prior to implementation.
