NARRATIVE INSPECTION REPORT <br />DATE: 8-20-92 <br />MINE: Hayden Gulch <br />PERMIT N0. C-003-BO <br />COMPANY NAME: H-G Coal Co. <br />5731 State Hwy 13 <br />Meeker, CO 81641 <br />INDIVIDUALS PRESENT DURING INSPECTION: Rich Atkinson-company <br />Juan Garcia-company <br />Larry Routen MLRD <br />Tom Ehmett OSM <br />COMPLETE INSPECTION: x <br />PARTIAL INSPECTION: <br />WEATHER: Clear 6 Warm <br />RECORDS REVIEW <br />All records including monitoring records were checked and <br />found to be in order. <br />The mining and reclamation permit was renewed in January of <br />this year. <br />There are two NPDES permits at the site that were recently <br />renewed. The new permits are good through June 1997. <br />FIELD REVIEW <br />Signs S Markers --- All required signs and markers were <br />properly posted. <br />Hydrologic System --- There are 4 ponds located at the mine <br />and 2 ponds located at the loadout site. <br />Two of the ponds at the mine (001 and <br />002) were dry and had no evidence of any <br />water being in them is the recent past. <br />These two ponds are scheduled to be <br />removed when phase 2 bond release is <br />approved. The other 2 ponds at the mine <br />site,(003 and 004) are to be left as <br />permanent impoundments and both had <br />standing water in them. <br />Diversion ditches were in good working <br />order and showed .no slgna .of erosion. <br />
