Erosion features were noted in various location on site, and are as follows; <br />Orphan Pit Avery large gully exists at the base of the Orphan Pit where it drops into the <br />natural drainage. The gully is roughly 10'W."5'D`30'L. It appears that the gully is head <br />cutting into the reclaimed area. <br />Duck Pond Pit On the south end of the pit, a small gully roughly 1'W.`1'D."20'L. was noted at <br />the 1st contour furrow. On the north end of the pit, at the outlet of contour furrow #2 a small <br />gully 1'W.' 2'D.` 5'L. was noted. <br />Haul Road Refuse Area A gully leading from the natural drainage through the reclaimed area <br />was roughly 1'-3'W.' 2'-3'D. ' 50'L. on the north end. On the south end, a gully 1'W." 1'D.` <br />100'L. was noted. <br />Magpie Drainage An extremely deep gully is present roughly 15'W. ` 30'D. ` 1000'L. <br />Chin's Hill Roughly a dozen gullies were noted on the North Facing slope of Chin's Hill. <br />Dimensions were roughly 3'-5'W.` 5'D.` 50'L. <br />West Pit A large gully was noted through the disturbed area drainage roughly 2'W." 3'D.' <br />50'L. Numerous small gullies were noted on the North Facing slope in the west pit and ranged <br />from 1' to 2' deep. Most of these gullies contain straw or hay bales. West Pit Diversion Ditch <br />was in good repair, and no erosion features were noted. <br />East Pit A large gully has formed in the location of the erosion control mat, adjacent to the <br />access road. It is roughly 5'D. The North facing slope in the East Pit contain numerous gullies <br />roughly 1' to 2' deep. The south facing slope contain a large gully roughly 2'W.` 3'-5'D.` <br />50'L. A large gully is forming at the base of the old West Pit road that leads into Magpie Creek <br />Diversion. The Diversion Check Dams appear to be in good repair <br />Backfilling & Grading <br />All backfilled slopes showed no signs of major stability problems. Erosion features were present <br />las noted abovel, but no slides were apparent. In the south Orphan Pit, the material is settling <br />from the highwall. A crack roughly 1.5'W. ` 2'-3'D. ` 20'L. was noted. <br />Revegetation <br />Vegetation on the reclaimed areas appears to be well established, and no problems were noted. <br />
