:;
Ground Water Monitoring We11s - Well P-B was examined for its location relative to
surface water drainage and its potential for influence from surface water infiltration.
The well is only 33 feet deep and shows increasing TDS (sulfate). The well is a short
distance downgradient from the reclaimed toes of A-pit and A-S pit. Surface water
infiltration appears possible from water. alo %+~ drainages generally south of the
well, or possibly from water that collece~ow area at the inlet of the ad.iacent
double-culvert underneath the haul road. These locations are upgradient from the well.
Water infiltrating at those locations would have to be very high in TDS. though, to
account for the levels observed in P-8.
Well P-8 needs to be marked for easy identification.
Well GF-4 is still leaking water. The operator's representative has been bailing water
from around the casing in an effort to identify the source of the leak.
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE
Areas stripped of topsoil ahead of pits and areas awaiting topsoil laydown appeared to be
as approved in the permit.

N,,e.~,t a.QA,o C~c/<e.A
4s ~ o ~~
g. v ~N
/ 4 ° ~-

rK
