All records
were found in compliance as detailed on page 2a of this report.
Fish and Wildlife
Elk frequent the reclaimed area and surrounding area during all months of the year. A calf
elk was observed hiding along a fence near the reclaimed power drop site. Its mother was
nearby in the brush. The reclaimed areas provide forage for elk and deer, especially during
this 6me of the year.
Reyegetat,on
Scotch thistle was observed scattered around the reclaimed area. It is more abundant on
the southern portions of the reclaimed main facility area and on the pond 2 area. Many
were cut as they were encountered. Selective spraying is required to control this species.
Wet spring conditions have benefited weeds as well as desirable vegetation.
Alfalfa, smooth brome. western wheatgrass. yellow sweet clover, curly cup gumweed, and
various other annual species were observed. Revegetation is enjoying a banner year to this
point.
