This inspection was conducted as part of the Division of Minerals and Geology's monitoring program. <br />Present at the inspection were Carl B. Mount and Kate Pickford, DMG. Three unsuccessful attempts were <br />made to contact the owner prior to the inspection to advised that an inspection was to be conducted. Weather <br />at the time of the inspection was partly cloudy, breery, and approximately 45 degrees. <br />2. At the time of inspection, approximately 5 acres of the site had been disturbed. Erosion control in the form of <br />a berm paralleling the drainage near the site is in place. The dry wash along the east and south boundaries of <br />the site appears to be eroding the berm, and the berm should be moved back, away from the wash. <br />3. A sign was posted at the entrance to the site. Only one boundary marker could be located. Although there <br />was a large stockpile of overburden, there did not appear to be any topsoil stockpiled for reclamation of the site. <br />The overburden stockpile is located where the topsoil stockpile is identified on the mining plan map. <br />4.
