3). Levkulich Pit #I: Minor correction on the description of the access road.
The vehicle in Photo #1 is on an access road that runs from County Road #2 to the
Wyoming line. The vehicle is pazked about 1/4 mile north of County Road #2.
4). Smith Pit #20: Asphalt stockpile and fuel tank storage.
The Road Department Director said that they will remove the asphalt in about 3 weeks.
The fuel tank is stored properly in a pit that has a 3' thick compacted clay liner. The clay
resources aze from a pit about 100 yazds west of the fuel tank (See Photos # 1 & #2). We
feel that the fuel storage facility is in compliance with the applicable rules and
regulations.
S). Water Storage: 72-hour water storage limitation:
I am concerned about the water storage limitation of 72 hrs as they apply to our facilities.
The Colorado Water Resources engineer (Division 6}, in Steamboat Springs, is not aware
of any Colorado Water law that makes that limitation on storm water in gravel pits. There
is a provision that prevents a water user from storing Irrigation water in reservoirs over
72 hours without a proper water right. Would you please send me the statute, rule, or
regulation that applies to this issue?
It was a pleasure to work with you on these inspections; I hope you, and your family,
enjoyed Moffat County.
Thanks!
Marvin o ~--.
cc
Moffat Co ty Road Department
Billy Ma (Director)
