In reviewing our files and the
MLRB files, the last reclamation map submitted was on 2/22/91. It indicates contouring the
entire plant area, along with topsoiling, and seeding. We still intend to reclaim this area as
indicated in your files. He also mentioned that we may need to disc or deep rip the area. This is
area is not yet to final grade. In the process of regrading the area, we will essentially be ripping
the ground. But as always, if the seeding company advises additional ripping to get the
appropriate seed growth, we will do so.
Please find attached a copy of our calculations for the reclamation remaining on this site.
Although we have included costs for dismantling and removing the plants in our estimates, this is
valuable equipment and most of it will be moved this winter to some of our other gravel pit
locations. As our calculations indicate, the current financial warranty of$112,114.00 is sufficient
for the reclamation remaining.
If you have any additional questions, please contact me at (303) 657-4331.
Sincerely,
Julie Goettemoeller
Land Manager
cc: Whitey Glasser, Plant Manager
