Topsoil Topsoil was being stripped in advance of the A-Pit. The topsoil was live handled to the <br />reclaimed portions of the A-Pit and into topsoil pile EE. Additional topsoil removal is necessary <br />for the lower portion of the A-Pit. Topsoil material located adjacent to the B-Pit NOV area has <br />been wind rowed to be spread over the B-Pit ramp. <br />Slides & Damages There are four noted slides at the mine; Mine Entrance Road slump, slide <br />between Pond 006 and Haul Road A, B-Pit Highwall and D-Pit Highwall. All four slides occurred <br />this spring and have not progressed since the last inspection. A technical revision is currently in <br />review for Pond 006. The highwall slides need to be repaired concurrently with reclamation of <br />the pits. The Mine entrance road slide needs to be repaired as soon as possible. <br />Maintenance Items; The following maintenance items were noted; <br />-Rock drains along the mine entrance road require maintenance. <br />-Some additional clean up of G road material is necessary. <br />-Mine Entrance slide should be repaired as soon as possible. <br />-The ME-5 sump contained sediment, and requires cleaning. <br />-NE-3 permanent drainage needs to be reshaped per the designs approved by the Division. <br />-Contour furrows in the A-Pit need to be properly installed and tied into existing drainages, or <br />removed. <br />-Gullies east of neck pit ramp adjacent to topsoil pile GG need to be repaired, as outlined in the <br />rill and gully plan. <br />
