III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />experienced excessive rilling or gullying. D pit 2003 reclamation appeared to be in good condition. <br />Vegetation throughout the mine site looked good for this time of year. <br />Fish and wildlife: Pronghorn antelope were plentiful throughout the mine site. Herds of 8 to 30 <br />animals were noted all through the reclaimed areas. A herd of approx. 25-30 Elk were observed on <br />reclaimed area near the Sage drainage. Thousands of minnows were noted in the spillway of No <br />Name #5 pond. No fish have been observed in this pond previously. Ground squirrels and prairie dogs <br />have become active throughout the site since the last inspection. Badger sign was evident wherever <br />the ground squirrel were plentiful. <br />Reclamation success: TMI has submitted a partial phase I bond release application. The snowpack <br />precluded conduction the bond release inspection within 30 days of finding the application complete. <br />Snowmelt has occurred and none of the areas and drainages included in the application are obscured. <br />The bond release application has been scheduled for April 13, 2004. <br />Page 4 of 6 Pages, (date) 03/25/04 , (initialsl ihb <br />
