recently cleaned of sediment deposition. New straw bales were noted in multiple locations <br />below SEA areas and on reclaimed lands to mitigate small gullies. Drainage control site-wide <br />appeared in compliance with the plan <br />Development Waste <br />The operator ~s nearing full capacity of waste on the development waste pile During the <br />inspection, a dozer was observed leveling waste material on the crest of the pile. Waste <br />material was relatively dry and compacUOn testing will be completed once the area is leveled <br />to final grade. Should weather conditions deteriorate, the temporary crossing of the ditch <br />leading to pond 4 will need to be removed to allow drainage to proceed to pond 4 <br />Revegetation <br />Areas re-seeded last year at the West Mine are coming to life for the 2007 growing season. <br />Sprouting of cool season grasses and forbs was noted on the reclaimed areas. <br />Reconstruction of the permanent drainage ~n the West Mine seems to be functioning as <br />designed. The SW coal stockpile, reclaimed in 2003. is in its fifth growing season It was <br />traversed on toot and new growth from established grasses. forbs, and shrubs was evident. <br />
