Site 04-85-10. The site is contains abundant wheatgrass, brome, timothy, yarrow in an <br />aspen grove. There are a few small Canada thistle, but these appear to be very young and <br />just starling to grow - not a problems of the site. Reclamation excellent. (photo below) <br />Site 04-85-12. This site shows very good revegetation, with over 70% cover from mostly <br />wheatgrass, with some mountain brome. Chokecherry has reinvaded the site. Like many of <br />these sites, this is used for saltblocks for cattle and elk and the area immediately around the <br />salt blocks is badly trampled. There is no sign of erosion, however. <br />Site 04-85-15 8 15C. At this site, well 15C was adopted by a joint USGSfBLM study and <br />turned into a permanent monitoring well. The site has been reclaimed very well -the <br />earthwork is good, there is no erosion, and the revegetation is excellent (largely mountain <br />brome and western wheatgrass.) <br />Site 04-85-16 & 16c. This site also contains a converted USGSlBLM monitoring well. The <br />site is well vegetated (>70% cover) with assorted perennial grasses, dominated by western <br />wheatgrass and mountain brome.
