Site 04-85-10. The site is contains abundant wheatgrass, brome, timothy, yarrow in an
aspen grove. There are a few small Canada thistle, but these appear to be very young and
just starling to grow - not a problems of the site. Reclamation excellent. (photo below)
Site 04-85-12. This site shows very good revegetation, with over 70% cover from mostly
wheatgrass, with some mountain brome. Chokecherry has reinvaded the site. Like many of
these sites, this is used for saltblocks for cattle and elk and the area immediately around the
salt blocks is badly trampled. There is no sign of erosion, however.
Site 04-85-15 8 15C. At this site, well 15C was adopted by a joint USGSfBLM study and
turned into a permanent monitoring well. The site has been reclaimed very well -the
earthwork is good, there is no erosion, and the revegetation is excellent (largely mountain
brome and western wheatgrass.)
Site 04-85-16 & 16c. This site also contains a converted USGSlBLM monitoring well. The
site is well vegetated (>70% cover) with assorted perennial grasses, dominated by western
wheatgrass and mountain brome. The earthwork is good and there is no erosion.
-~ .
. rP„. ~. ..i ~' ~ ''I
r~'
