PROBLEM:
The operator stated that 60,000 tons of material is currently being
hauled in from the Homestead Trout Club to be used as topsoil
material. The material is available from a pond that has recently
been dredged. In order for the operator to use this material for
reclamation of site and reduce the amount to haul in topsoil in the
reclamation coat estimate, the standards of Rule 3.1.5(9) must be
met.
CORRECTIVE ACTION:
The operator will need to submit a notice regarding the
placement of material from off site and used for reclamation of
the Tennessee Creek mine that addresses the requirements of Rule
3.1.5(9). In addition, the operator will need to quantify the
amount of topsoil hauled in site in order to reduce the
reclamation cost estimate. The notice must be submitted to the
Division by October 31, 2005.
DATE
PB or PV:PH
TOPIC (S):T3
October 31, 2005
