Walker ~ <br />Part I -Contemporaneous Reclamation - To be completed at least annually <br />Backfilling and Grading <br />Compare the fallowing field conditions to approved plans using the reclamation cost estimate, mine <br />plan/operations plan maps, post-mining topography maps, and maps from annual reclamation reports, etc. <br />Write a brief description of any observed discrepancies. <br />1. Number of open pits, portals, mine shafts, and/or adits. <br />There was one open pit, Pit B. Pit B is being reclaimed, working from the south to the north with flyash <br />backfill, 6 feet of spoil cover, and two feet of topsand cover. This is a surface mine. There are no mine shafts <br />or adits. <br />a. Approximate dimensions afpits/openings. <br />The dimensions of the open Pit B as measured on the 2003 ARR Map are 700 feet (east-west) by 1,800 feet <br />(north-south). The inslopes are approximately 17%. The average depth is l9 feet. <br />Backfill, grading and seeding has been accomplished at Pit A. <br />2. Number of spoil ridges at each pit, or time elapsed since the pit was last active. <br />There are no spoil ridges at the site. All remaining spoil, destined for cover at Pit B, is stored in a spoil <br />storage area. <br />3. Are there existing subsidence features that require backfrlling and grading? <br />There are no existing subsidence features that require backfrlling or grading. <br />4. List refuse areas and their locations. <br />Flyash from off site is being used as a part of the backfill in Pit B, and was placed during backfill of <br />Pit A. The reclamation plan ca-ls for the disposal of remaining demolition materials in Pit B. There <br />was no non-coal refuse being disposed of on site at the time of the inspection. Materials from <br />demolished structures were disposed of in Pit A (PAP page 114). <br />a.
