SSR Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine VLF2 Phase 3 Stage B NewFields Job No. 475.0106.072 Week Ending Friday, May 2, 2025 <br />Page 2 <br />1.0 CONTRACTOR OPERATIONS <br /> Earthworks <br />1.1.1 Subgrade <br />Kelley Trucking (KTI) used a John Deere 950k and D8 LGP dozer to prepare subgrade on the north <br />and central side of Stage B between elevations 10,325’ and 10,450’. <br />KTI began to grade the northern abandoned Schist Island haul road to the Stage A tie-in. A John <br />Deere 950k, D8 LGP dozer, and 349 excavator cut material to grade along the tie-in. A 980 loader <br />hauled the material to outside the northern limits of Stage B for future use. <br />1.1.2 Structural Fill <br />No structural fill was placed during this period. <br />1.1.3 Soil Liner Fill <br />No soil liner fill was placed during this period. <br />Geosynthetics <br />JHL Constructors (JHL) continued to expose geomembrane along the Stage A tie-in. A Volvo <br />ECR88D excavator with a straight bar welded across the bucket teeth removed the approximately <br />2’ thick layer of DCF. A minimum 3’ strip of geomembrane was exposed. 1-2 JHL laborers assisted <br />by spotting for the excavator and removing the final thin layer of DCF from the geomembrane. <br />All material removed from the tie-in was placed within the existing Stage A limits. <br />KTI removed overburden material from the abandoned Stage A parallel CC&V operations haul <br />road. A 349 excavator removed the material from above the northern Stage A tie-in to create a <br />safe working area for JHL to continue to expose geomembrane. All material removed from the <br />tie-in was placed within the existing Stage A limits. <br />No geosynthetics were installed during this period. <br />2.0 MEETINGS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br />NewFields personnel conducted daily safety meetings at 7:00am. <br />NewFields personnel attending the weekly owners meeting with JHL, KTI and CC&V. Topics <br />of discussion included Underground Working awareness and the schedule for liner placement <br />to begin.
