RECLAMATION COSTS
Rule 6.4.12 of the Mineral Rules and Regulations requires that the Applicant provide a cost
breakdown of reclamation costs sufficient to allow the calculation of the cost of reclamation
that would be incurred by the State.
The reclamation costs have been prepared assuming that the entire mining footprint in Area
1 has been excavated, thus minor regrading and placement of the 3-foot-thick clay liner
bottom liner as closure. The reclamation costs incorporate the entire 50.7-acre excavation
area and 2.9-acre area of Area 1 that is outside of the cell excavation area but will require
revegetation, for a total acreage of 53.6 for Area 1 (as shown on Figure F-1 in Exhibit F).
Reclamation of Area 2,which is used for soil staging and stockpiling only, will include removal
of stockpiled clay soils or regrading of the stockpiled soils to match original drainage patterns
in the 3.3-acre Area 2, and revegetating the area. The reclamation cost assumes that the
entire 3.3-acre area will require regrading and revegetation, when in fact the actual area used
for clay soil stockpiling may be less than the designated permit area.
Weaver Consultants Group,LLC
Q: WASTE CONNECTIONS SEDALIAEXPANSION 2024l DRMS 112 PERMITEXHIBITL-RECLAMATION COSTS.DOCX Rev.0,10/2025
L-1
