BEFORE THE MINED LAND RECLAMATION BOARD <br /> STATE OF COLORADO <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT, CONCLUSIONS OF LAW, AND ORDER <br /> IN THE MATTER OF THE NOTICE OF VENTURE RESOURCES INC. <br /> FOR A SECOND FIVE-YEAR PERIOD OF TEMPORARY CESSATION, <br /> File No. M-2009-076 <br /> THIS MATTER came before the Mined Land Reclamation Board ("Board") on <br /> September 17, 2025, for consideration of the notice for a second period of Temporary <br /> Cessation filed by Venture Resources Inc. ("Operator") for the Hukill Gulch Millsite, <br /> file number M-2009-076. Nikie Gagnon appeared on behalf of the Division of <br /> Reclamation, Mining and Safety ("Division").' Mason Drake appeared on behalf of <br /> Operator. <br /> The Board, having considered the materials and testimony presented with <br /> this matter and having been otherwise fully informed of the facts in the matter, <br /> enters the following: <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> 1. Operator holds a 110d reclamation permit for an 8.76-acre gold and <br /> silver mine and mill known as the Hukill Gulch Millsite. The site is a designated <br /> mining operation located in Clear Creek County, Township 3 South, Range 73 West, <br /> Section 26, 6th Principal Meridian. <br /> 2. On September 13, 2024, the Division inspected the site and determined <br /> that activity at the site had ceased in 2019, with no mining activity or production <br /> occurring since. The Division's inspection report, signed October 18, 2024, noted <br /> several other issues that required corrective actions. <br /> 3. Operator submitted a notice for a second period of Temporary <br /> Cessation for the site on November 18, 2024. <br /> 4. On November 26, 2024, the Division sent the Operator a notice of <br /> incompleteness due to compliance issues cited in the October 18, 2024, inspection <br /> report that needed addressed. <br /> 5. The Operator completed those maintenance tasks by May 22, 2025, <br /> and provided the Division with confirmation by May 30, 2025. <br /> 1 The Division was advisory staff to the Board, not a party, in this proceeding. <br />
