Miranda Kawcek was informed of the inspection but was unable to attend. The weather was clear and <br />sunny. No hydrologic or air quality issues were detected at the time of inspection. <br />PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS: <br />On October 7, 2025, the Division issued a proposed decistion to approve the Phase III Bond Release of the final <br />107.6 acres (SL-8) remaining in the permit. <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Reclamation is complete at this site. The SL8 areas have established vegetation meeting the minimum ten-year <br />liability period and can support the approved post-mining land uses. <br />During this partial inspection, the Division viewed the following items: <br />SIGNS and MARKERS – Rule 4.02 <br /> The mine identification sign was in place at the site entrance from the County Road and meets the <br />requirements of the Rule (Photo 1). Two additional signs were observed at alternative entrances along <br />CR53 (Photo 2). <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3) I 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) I 4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) and (6) I <br />4.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7) I 4.03.2(7) <br /> The dirt road from the mine entrance off CR 53 to Pond 6 was dry and maintained. The roadside ditch is <br />functioning as designed to control erosion and sedimentation. Vegetation is well established adjacent to <br />the road. <br />
