The material parameters are based on our experience with similar <br />materials as well as review of previous designs (Amec, 2011b; NewFields, 2020). <br />Foundation (Sand and Gravel): Material properties for the sand and gravel foundation material <br />are based on NewFields experience with similar materials. The material properties were <br />conservatively estimated at 32 degrees, disregarding cohesion for conservatism. <br />Foundation (Bedrock): The intact, bedrock foundation was assumed to have a friction angle of <br />45 degrees, disregarding cohesion. Based on our understanding of near surface rock conditions <br />at the site, this material will not negatively influence the global stability of the facility. <br />5.1.4. Stability Evaluation Results <br />The results of the stability evaluation are presented in Table 5.2 and output graphics for the <br />stability program are included in Appendix E. <br />
