Natural Soda LLC 2024 Project Status Report & Annual Plan of Development <br /> 10 January 2025 <br />• On December 19, 2024, DRMS conducted the 4th quarter onsite inspection of the <br />NS operation with BLM Tom Cummings from White River Field Office (WRFO) in <br />attendance. This site visit was records inspection and to explain how the Division <br />determines Financial Warranty. No wellfield observations or plant inspections <br />were conducted during this visit. No additional problems or violations were noted <br />during this inspection. <br /> <br />Colorado Division of Water Resources (DWR) <br />• A senior water right holder placed a call on the White River effective, December <br />1, 2022. NS initiated its surface water augmentation plan (88CW420) on <br />December 19, 2022. NS periodically released water during January 2024 from <br />the WSW-3 and WSW-4 to meet obligations for White River surface runoff <br />requirements. NS released 119,600 gallons in 2024. <br /> <br />Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) <br />• Per CDPHE requirements, in 2024 NS completed the following actions: <br />o Cleaned out traps and wattles (15H, 12H, 13H, 15H-1V and 16H-1V <br />Locations), clean sediment from wattles and install new wattles where <br />needed. <br />o Cleaned out the ditch and traps on 14H-1V location. <br />o 15H-IR location was graded for improved stormwater drainage. <br />o NS opened the stormwater drainages on 15-IR-E and 16H-1V locations. <br />• In 2024 NS submitted updated Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) and <br />Environmental Monitoring Plans to the CDPHE. <br />• NS submitted the COG-500000 Annual Stormwater Report to the CDPHE in <br />2024. <br /> <br />Rio Blanco County (RBC) <br />• In April 2024 NS submitted application and payment for the Temporary Living <br />Quarters (TLQ) to RBC to support the 18H production well drilling. RBC approved <br />the application and subsequently conducted inspections of the TLQ and granted <br />Building Occupation & Septic permits in June 2024. NS submitted an additional <br />application and payment for a TLQ permit in September 2024 for the 18H-IR-W <br />redrill operation, RBC approved the TLQ and conducted the required inspections <br />and permitting in October 2024. <br />• NS submitted amendments to the existing Special Use Permit (SUP) 12-04 for <br />the 2024 drilling and P&A operations in June and October. RBC approved all <br />SUP amendments. <br />
