August 13, 2025 C-2010-089/New Horizon North Mine CCW <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> <br /> Page 4 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br />Mine identification markers and permit boundary markers were noted to be posted on all sides of the permit <br />boundary (Photo 11). The signs were posted in locations with clear visibility of the sign. The signs were in good <br />condition and displayed contact information for and the address of the permittee. The mine’s permit number was <br />also displayed. <br /> <br />TOPSOIL – Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />One topsoil pile remains at the New Horizon North Mine. The pile consists of excess topsoil for the site. The <br />Progresso Topsoil Stockpile 1 is approved to remain as a permanent post-mining feature and can be used for <br />repairs of the reclamation if necessary. The topsoil stockpile was stable with vegetative cover.
