Well Permit No. 77321-F has been obtained for the current uses and exposed pond <br /> surface area of the gravel pit in accordance with section 37-90-137(2) and (11), <br /> C.R.S. Well permit no. 77321-F, in addition to dewatering, allows the following <br /> uses and amounts: 42.35 acre-feet of incidental evaporative loss associated with <br /> 12.7 acres of exposed groundwater, 7.98 acre-feet of water used for dust control, <br /> 5.89 acre-feet of water lost with mined product associated with 200,000 tons of <br /> aggregate, and 52.0 acre-feet for intermittent fill. The Applicant shall maintain a <br /> valid well permit for this gravel pit. <br /> 3. Approval of this SWSP is for the purposes as stated herein. This office must first <br /> approve any additional uses for which the water may be used. Total consumption <br /> at the DeBeque Gravel Pit must not exceed these following amounts unless an <br /> amendment is made to this SWSP: <br /> a. The total surface area of the groundwater exposed at the DeBeque Gravel Pit <br /> must not exceed 9.43 acres, which results in a maximum evaporative annual <br /> loss of 31.44 acre-feet per year (29.84 acre-feet per year adjusted for ice). <br /> b. The amount of water used for dust control at the DeBeque Gravel Pit shall not <br /> exceed 1.29 acre-feet per year. <br /> c. The total product mined at the DeBeque Gravel Pit site shall not exceed 75,000 <br /> tons per year, which results in 1.10 acre-feet of water lost with the mined <br /> aggregate for each year of operation under this plan. <br /> d. The volume of intermittent fill is limited to 52.0 acre-feet per year. <br /> 4. All pumping for dust control shall be measured in a manner acceptable to the <br /> Division Engineer. <br /> 5. Replacement water shall be made available to cover all out-of-priority depletions <br /> in time, place and amount and shall be made available under the direction and/or <br /> approval of the Water Commissioner.
