3. Describe the estimated topsoil depth and how topsoil will be salvaged,stockpiled and <br />redistributed for the re-establishment of vegetation. Specify approximate topsoil <br />redistribution depth: <br />Topsoil depth across the project area is approximately 6 to 12 inches, though this may <br />vary depending on localized site conditions, slope position, and vegetation type. <br />Topsoil will be mechanically stripped, all efforts will be made to avoid compaction and <br />loss of soil structure during this phase. <br />outside of active disturbance zones. <br />Topsoil will be redistributed evenly across regraded areas. <br />Following topsoil placement, the area will be seeded with an approved native seed mix. <br />4. Describe how drill holes will be plugged (refer to Rule 5.4 of the Rules for required <br />abandonment procedures): <br />All drill holes will be plugged in accordance with Rule 5.4.2 along with State & County <br />regulations. If ground water is encountered, the hole will be plugged pursuant to Rule <br />5.4.2 (2). <br />Generally holes will be plugged with cement usually to the length of casing. <br />5. Describe how portals, adits, shafts, ponds, excavations, or other disturbances will be <br />reclaimed(refer to Rule 3 and Rule 5 for specific reclamation performance standards). <br />You may wish to contact the Division for closure specifications. <br />Drill pad will be returned to original contour and salvaged topsoil will be relocated to <br />disturbed area.. <br />Form 2—Public File Page 9 of 14
