San Luis Permit Amendment M-1988-112 CDRMS <br /> Slurry Wall Battle Mountain Resources <br /> Exhibit L Reclamation Costs <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Engineering Analytics, Inc. (EA)has prepared an updated summary of final reclamation tasks and <br /> items remaining for 2025 Financial Warranty Re-Evaluation for Battle Mountain Resources, Inc <br /> San Luis former mine site. Additional tables are provided in this exhibit for a more detailed cost <br /> breakdown. <br /> 1.1 Previous Determination of Financial Warranty Amount <br /> The previous determination of financial warranty calculation is from March 2000 document titled <br /> "Financial Warranty Requirements Re-evaluation San Luis Project, M-88-112 (CDRMS, 2000). <br /> Any dollar amount referenced in past financial warranties is expressed in dollars from the year <br /> 2000. The previous calculation for Water Treatment Plant (WTP) operations was under the <br /> assumption that "in order to clean up the West pit backfill, the operator needs to withdraw, and <br /> process, 4.91 pore volumes of water from the lower pit area and 5.24 pore volumes of water from <br /> the pink gneiss." This comes out to 584,323,495 gallons of water requiring treatment. The nano- <br /> filtration process cost was estimated at $6.90 per 1000 gallons. The amount of time to treat that <br /> much water was calculated at 7 years. The seven years of water treatment was calculated to cost <br /> $4,031,832. With additional reclamation requirements, the total 2020 financial warranty amount <br /> was $7,362,354. <br /> 2.0 LIST OF REMAINING RECLAMATION <br /> A summary of the remaining items for reclamation is listed in Table L-1. For a more detailed <br /> summary of financial warranty tasks and calculations, please refer to the tables in the appendix. <br /> Costs included in Table 1 have been calculated from (CDRMS, 2000) to current valuation using <br /> the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics online CPI Inflation Calculator. EA used the multiplier 1.87 to <br /> estimate Consumer Price Index Inflation from February 2000 to December 2024.
