Measurement and Payment <br /> No measurement for payment shall be made for this item. Payment will be lump sum under ITEM <br /> 5.0 of the Bid Schedule and will be made upon completion of the item and approval by the <br /> PROJECT MANAGER. This price shall include all materials, labor, equipment, rentals, <br /> coordination time, and all other items necessary and incidental to complete the tasks described <br /> in ITEM 5.0. <br /> ITEM 6.0 REMOVAL OF TANKS AND MINING-RELATED DEBRIS <br /> The table below contains a summary of the items that will be removed from the site and disposed <br /> of in an authorized disposal facility. Due to the difficult access, an excavator, and other all-terrain <br /> equipment, will be used to transport the tanks, trailer and other debris up the steep access road <br /> for one half mile. The items will then be loaded onto a truck and transported 2.8 miles on <br /> unimproved USFS roads to Gold Lake Ranch whereby they can be transported to an authorized <br /> disposal or scrap metal facility. CONTRACTOR will provide disposal receipts to PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. <br /> TANKS AND METAL RAIL/PIPE <br /> Due to concerns regarding fire safety, tanks and debris will be removed from the site intact. The <br /> tanks and metal rails and pipe will not be cut in the field, unless approved by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. Several of the tanks weigh close to one ton. A minimum 16,000 pound excavator is <br /> required to remove these items. <br /> PETROLEUM PRODUCTS <br /> There remains on site several containers of petroleum-based products. CONTRACTOR will <br /> remove these items from the site and dispose of them or recycle at an authorized waste disposal <br /> facility. <br /> Page 122 <br />
