1.0 Introduction
This exhibit provides an in-depth geotechnical analysis for the West Side Placer Project, developed in strict accordance
with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act(MLRA) and the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board's(MLRB)
regulations, specifically referencing Rule 6.5 for geotechnical stability requirements. The project's approach focuses on
maintaining slope integrity, environmental stewardship, and adherence to the slope stability guidelines outlined in Rule 3
(Reclamation Performance Standards) and Rule 6(Permit Application Exhibit Requirements).
The West Side Placer Project's geotechnical approach encompasses several key objectives:maintaining slope integrity,
minimizing environmental disruption, and ensuring operational safety. This is achieved through a series of pre-mining
assessments, slope stability techniques, drainage and erosion control systems, and ongoing monitoring.Specific geotech-
nical considerations include establishing optimal slope ratios based on soil properties, utilizing benching and terracing for
stability, and implementing comprehensive water management strategies to control runoff and sediment.
The exhibit also outlines essential components for post-extraction site restoration, detailing methodologies such as backfill-
ing, grading, and revegetation with native species to return the land to a stable and ecologically productive state. Through a
blend of traditional engineering practices and innovative technologies like drone-based photogrammetry and LiDAR,this
analysis provides a robust framework for balancing resource extraction with environmental responsibility.
2.0 Project Overview
The West Side Placer Project aims to develop critical mineral resources and precious metals on its property. Through a pro-
cess of screening and upgrading, the project will produce marketable ore containing monazite, ilmenite, zircon, silica sand,
and precious metals. The mining methods will focus on alluvial extraction, involving screening and classification to create
sand products that meet specific industry standards. These products will then be shipped to refiners for further processing.
3
HARDROCK/METAL MINING REGULAR(112)APPLICATION Au Pt Industries LLC I PO Box 1424-Edwards,Colorado 81632 1970 306 1 784
