Shell Frontier Oil & Gas
Inc.
Reclamation Report
IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION:
Operation: Mahogany Research Project - Public Land Prospecting
Operator: Shell Frontier Oil & Gas Inc
DRMS NOI #: P-2003-018
Contact Info: Samantha Baker, SGWS Legacy Program Manager,
Shell Frontier Oil & Gas Inc.,
150 N. Dairy Ashford, Bldg. E-1040G, Houston, Texas 77079
STATUS OF RECLAMATION:
The Prospecting NOI was approved on March 01, 2005 for the development of the 2003
hydrology Program and then amended June 22, 2006. A Land Use Permit for access to the
pads was granted by the BLM on Sept. 11, 2003 extended on August 21, 2006 (#C0067069).
Shell Frontier Oil & gas Inc. (SFOGI) has elected to discontinue development of the project
and requesting partial acreage release, it has been determined that reclamation has been
achieved and no new surface disturbances were created subsequent to issuance of the NOI.
13-14-298
One core hole was plugged and abandoned May 2004 and plugging report submitted to
CDRMS August 16, 2004. The well casings were cut off at final grade, a well monument above
surface was welded with well name identification scribed on monument. The final reclamation
phase for Pad 13 was completed in the fall of 2010. The pad and access road was de-
compacted and restored to existing grade, stabilized topsoil was utilized to provide
approximately 4" of topsoil covering prior to seeding. The pad was drill seeded per the
approved BLM standard mix #3 seed mix (1997 RMP), stabilized with weed free straw mulch.
The continued efforts of the noxious and annual weed management and spot seeding with 2014
BLM Recommended seed mix, concentrating around the wellhead monitor and weed treatment
areas, created a diverse vegetation throughout the pad and access road, including volunteer
Rabbit and Sage brush. CDRMS annual inspection determined the pad's overall vegetation
mixture of perennial grasses, forbs and woody shrubs. The overall cover is comparable to the
surrounding areas and blends naturally with surrounding topography. The pad remained free
of weeds indicating final reclamation has been achieved.
4
