7
The timeline and use of areas described in Exhibit C page 4 will allow for the use of parcels for
mining while reclaiming land in areas no longer in service. The following timetable corresponds
with Exhibit C page 4 Mining Plan Amendment Map 2.
Mining Plan
Timeline of Reclamation Area to be
Worked
Mining Area A East 33.5 Acres For approximately 12-24 months this area
will continue to be mined for gravel and
aggregates. Stockpiles are located along
the eastern section of the disturbed area.
Mining Area A West 25.5 Acres Once Stockpiles have been diminished in
the Mining Area A East, mining activity will
move into the Mining Area A West, and
reclamation will begin moving from east to
west in approximately 10 acres section.
Mining activity in Mining Area A West
would take 2-3 years at the current rate of
sales and production.
Mining Area B 16 Acres Mining activity in Area B will not begin for
several years, upon the movement of
stockpiled materials from Area A West and
commencement of reclamation activity.
Extraction from Exhibit D, pages 4 and 5 of Four X Ranch Gravel Pit application:
"Extracted aggregate material that does not initially meet desired size characteristics will be
crushed to the desired size using a mobile dry crusher and screens. Aggregate will be
stockpiled" on level areas. "Reclamation of the land back to sustainable rangeland is a priority
of the owner as each acre of reclaimed rangeland provides an incremental increase in grazable
acreage.
"Thickness of aggregate material to be mined is 10 to 20 feet. The topsoil generally directly
overlays the fractured rock to be mined. An overburden thickness of 0.5 ft is used as a
conservative estimate for reclamation purposes. The actual average overburden thickness is
likely to be less. The primary commodity to be produced from the site is rock aggregate, which
will likely be used for road improvement and other construction related projects. No secondary
commodities will be produced from the mining area.
No incidental products are expected to be produced.
No explosive or chemicals will be utilized."
Four X Ranch Gravel Pit amendment
