RPM,Inc.,25049 E.Alder Dr.,Aurora,CO 80016 Phone:(303)854-7499 Email:hlhumphries2*comcast.net
The mined area within soil unit Fo will receive no plant growth material since it is a
gravely, sand clay loam to sixty inches. Leaving at least six inches of the in-place
material after mining should be adequate for site reclamation. Alternatively, if we
mine Fo to exhaust the gravel and sand, (bedrock), we will replace 6 to 8 inches of
plant growth material. Again, dependent upon the availability of plant growth
material.
According to the soils report, approximately twenty inches of plant growth material
overlays the soil unit Fo. The overlying plant growth material will need to be
removed prior to mining. It will either be stockpiled for reclamation, placed in
regraded areas, or sold as a resource. In any event we will keep an inventory of our
plant growth material reclamation needs.
The landowner indicated his desire to have material stockpiled on Ranch property for
Ranch use. The material requested is sand and gravel. However, the Ranch may also
have a use for excess pant growth material which we would like to make available to
the Ranch. We propose stockpiling these materials in the old CDOT pit area for
Ranch use. We will provide the CDRMS a Technical Revision which will delineate
the Ranch stockpiles and loadout area prior to placement of Ranch stockpiles.
(b) A comparison of the proposed post-mining land use to other land uses in the
vicinity and to adopted State and local land use programs. Where the post
mining land use is for commercial purposes, appropriate evidence supporting
such reasonable assurance shall be submitted, it not, a plan for revegetation
shall be submitted:
The site and the surrounding land uses are rangeland and wildlife habitat. The post-
mining land use will be rangeland.
(c) A description of how the Reclamation Plan will be implemented to meet each
applicable requirement of Section 3.1:
This Section question is addressed in the following sections and narrative.
3.1.2 Reclaiming Substituted Land:
The Applicant/Operator does not intend to substitute other land for reclamation.
3.1.3 Time Limit and Phased Reclamation:
Reclamation will be done in phases as discussed in section 6.4.5(2) (a) above and Table 1.
20
