RPM,Inc.,25049 E.Alder Dr.,Aurora,CO 80016 Phone:(303)854-7499 Email:hlhumphries2@ comcast.net
EXHIBIT "D"
MINING PLAN
6.4.4 The Mining Plan is for a 112 Conversion Permit Application:
(a) Description of the methods of mining in each stage of the operation as related
to any surface disturbance on affected lands:
The proposed 112 Regular Mining Operation will be an intermittent mining operation,
mining less than 180 days per year, in a typical year. However, dependent upon market
needs, the operation may, on occasion, operate for more than 180 days in any given year.
Also, since this is to be an intermittent mining operation, in some years more than one
Phase may be opened, in other years no new Phase will be opened.
Mining methods will be consistent throughout the life of this mining operation. This will
be an open pit mining operation. Typical mining equipment will be used, such as:
• Scrapers
• Frontend loaders
• Dozers
• Backhoes
• Typical highway hall trucks
The post mining land use is rangeland.
The existing soil is thin. However, where topsoil exists, will be stripped, and stockpiled
for use during reclamation. If there is any excess overburden, it may be sold or given
away.
This will be a dry mining operation since excavation operations will occur above the
regional ground water table. Primarily, scraper(s), front-end loader(s), excavator(s) and
haul trucks or other similar equipment will remove the topsoil and the thin overburden.
The next step will be to remove aggregate for processing, loadout or placed into
stockpiles for sale. Our product stockpiles will be of various sizes and should not
exceed 3,000 tons in any single year.
11
