EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN AND TIMETABLE
RECLAMATION PLAN
The proposed future use of this site is to return it to
it' s existing use of rangeland. Mining will create a
depression in the terrace deposit that leaves an amphitheater
in the surrounding terrace, that day lights out the eastern
side of the south end and creates a flat floor approximately 3
feet higher then the Rio Grande River. This makes the
reclamation plan very simple in that the mined area will have
to be shaped, resoiled and then revegetated with grass seed
once mining is complete. The EXHIBITF-RECLAMATIONPLANMAP in this
application packet depicts how we believe the site will look
once mining is complete.
As noted in the MININGPLAN we are proposing continuing
mining from east to west and north from the 110 permit area
until the power lines are reached. A 25 foot side setback will
be staked from the poles to the south and 15 feet along the
fence line/permit boundary, then 3 : 1 slopes will be created
along these setbacks to the floor. As mining progress the
slopes will be resoiled and prepared for seeding. Areas that
will not be redisturbed will be seeded once enough area is
ready for seeding to make it cost effective. The intent is to
have reclamation following mining and grading as close as
possible to affect concurrent reclamation.
As mining progresses the slopes along working face of the
mining area will be temporally graded 2 : 1 to stabilize them
when mining temporally stops . Slopes along the permit line and
Powerline setback will be graded 3h to lv as they are mined to
the final reclamation configuration. By creating the temporary
slopes as mining progresses, we are reducing the amount of work
necessary to reclaim the site if mining stopped prematurely.
Since the slopes around the perimeter of the mined area
will be sloped to their final rate, only minor amounts of slope
work will be necessary as mining ends . Five Hundred (500) feet
of the working face will be left nearly vertical and will need
to be cut/fill sloped if mining ended early. This sloping plan
will also insure, that if mining ceases before the resource is
exhausted, only a minor amount of work would have to be done to
finish reclamation on the disturbed area.
Big Bull Dog Trucking, Inc.
