Wild Horse Reservoir Project West Test Quarry DRMS 111 Application <br /> 1. EXHIBIT A: Legal Description and Location Map <br /> NOTE: DRMS Guidance from Rule 6:Permit Application Exhibit Requirements is shown in italics for each section. <br /> 1.1 Test Quarry General Location <br /> The Wild Horse West Test Quarry, comprised of two test sections(Test Section 1 and Test Section 2), both of which <br /> will be included in the testing program, is located in Park County, Colorado, near Hartsel and about six miles west <br /> of Spinney Mountain Reservoir.The West Test Quarry is proposed for investigation of potential available reserves <br /> as part of the larger proposed Wild Horse Reservoir Project. <br /> 1.2 Individual Parcel Legal Descriptions <br /> 6.3.1(1) The legal description must identify the affected land, specify affected areas and be adequate to field <br /> locate the property. Description shall be by (a) township, range, and section, to at least the nearest quarter- <br /> quarter section, and (b) location of the main entrance to the mine site reported as latitude and longitude, or <br /> the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Grid as determined from a USGS topographic map. A metes and <br /> bounds survey description is acceptable in lieu of Township, Range, and Section. Where available, the street <br /> address or lot number(s)shall be given. This information may be available from the County Assessor's office or <br /> U.S. Geological Survey(USGS) maps. <br /> The proposed test quarry areas are located within Section 30, Township 12 South, Range 75 West of the 6th <br /> Principal Meridian (P.M.), Colorado. Disturbed areas will be within the SE'/a of the NW1/4, SW1/4 of the NE'/a, NW1/4 <br /> of the SE1/4, and NE1/4 of the SW1/4 of this Section for the test quarries and within the NWS of the SW1/4, SW'/4 of <br /> the NW'/4, 5E1/4 of the NE'/4, NE'/4 of the SE'/4, NW'/4 of the NE1/4, and NE1/4 of the NE1/4 of the same section for the <br /> constructed access roads. The proposed Common Processing and Materials Handling Area (Common Processing <br /> Area, CPA), which is not included in the 111 permit, is located within Section 32, Township 12 South, Range 75 <br /> West of the 6th P.M., Colorado in the NE1/4. The proposed West Test Quarry Test Sections and most of the <br /> constructed access roads will be on land owned by Hartsel Springs Ranch of Colorado, Inc. The Common <br /> Processing Area and remainder of the constructed access roads will be on land owned by the Applicant, the City <br /> of Aurora. <br /> 1.3 Location Map — Entrance Coordinates <br /> 6.3.1(2) The main entrance to the mine site shall be located based on a USGS Topographic map showing latitude <br /> and longitude or Universal Transverse Mercator(UTM). The operator will need to specify coordinates of latitude <br /> and longitude in degrees, minutes and seconds or in decimal degrees to an accuracy of at least five(5) decimal <br /> places (e.g., latitude 37.12345 N, longitude 104.45678 W). For UTM, the operator will need to specify North <br /> American Datum (NAD) 1927, NAD 1983, or WGS 84, and the applicable zone, measured in meters. <br /> 6.3.1(3)A map showing information sufficient to determine the location of the affected land on the ground and <br /> existing and proposed roads or access routes to be used in connection with the mining operation. Names of all <br /> immediately adjacent surface owners of record shall also be shown. A standard U.S. Geological Survey <br /> topographic quadrangle or equivalent is acceptable. The location of the proposed operation shall be shown and <br /> labeled with the mine site name. <br /> Access to both test quarry section areas will be off County Road 53 (CR 53) via State Highway 9 (SH 9). There are <br /> numerous roads off of CR 53 into the Wild Horse Reservoir site which can be used to access the Test Quarry. <br /> Access to the site from the main access gate is controlled via a padlocked gate. The address for the main access <br /> gate to the site is as follows: 2700 County Rd 53, Hartsel, CO 80449. Coordinates are approximately 38°57'38.10"N <br /> 105°47'03.40"W, as shown on Exhibit A. <br /> TETRA TECH May 2024 2 <br />
