Overburden. <br /> Thickness of Sandstone and Cobble Deposits (d) <br /> The pit has three areas where the majority of the product is to be found. They are <br /> defined as: <br /> 1. The north slope (A), a limestone cobble (mixed with soil). <br /> 2. The High Knob (B), various sandstones. <br /> 3. The High Wall (C), various sandstones. <br /> Map C-3 (page C9) shows the location of each deposit and Table C-2 (page C9) lists the <br /> depths and estimated volumes. We should note the high degree of error that could be <br /> associated with the following figures. The depths of sandstones at the two locations <br /> were derived from walking the site, photos of each deposit, and the use of contours <br /> derived from a 2 ft DEM. While the cobble depth was estimated from a fresh dozer cut <br /> showing the cobble (see Photo C-4, page C4).
