Photos C-4 and C-5. Overburden on the east side of the High Knob.
It is estimated that, at a minimum, 8000 and a maximum of 16500 yds3, of overburden
would need to be removed to reach the sandstone layers below. The overburden is a
clay/gravel/rock mixture with little vegetation growing. The overburden may be used
for fill, pond lining, and other such uses on Twin Buttes property.
Removal of the overburden will be based upon the demand for the underlying
sandstone, thus it may be decades before the over burden is moved.
