Hydrologic Balance and Runoff(I) Currently there is no indication of runoff entering West Douglas Creek or the Waggoner Draw drainage in any significant quantities that originate in the pit. The pit site was walked and Google Earth plus NAIP images were used to look for erosional features such as gullies and cuts that originate on the pit and end in the drainages. None were found. The hydrologic balance should be similar to the last 60 years of the pit's existence. Commodities and Products(m, n, and o) On-site processing(m) In a general sense there will be no processing of product on site,other than sorting and grading. It is possible that in the future some rock may be crushed (e.g.. portable facility). The products will be mined, sorted by size and use, stockpiled, and hauled to the location of usage. Primary Products(n-o) 1. Limestone cobble from the north slope. Use: hardening of waterways, stream restoration projects, and possibly on the Twin Buttes roads. 2. Sandstone gravels and rock with some soil, sharp and angular, size range 1-12 inches on B axis. Use: fill, road base, construction, and projects on the Twin Buttes property. 3. Sandstone, 12+ up to 36 inches on the B axis. Use: rip-rap lining waterways above waterline and irrigation projects, construction, rock walls and stabilization of structures. 4. Sandstone, 36+ inches, similar to number 3. Secondary Products(n-o) 1. Overburden may be hauled off site and utilized for fill, roads, pond lining, and various construction projects. Incidental Products(o) There are no foreseen incidental products. Explosives (p) Explosives will not be used in the foreseeable future. If they are to be used at some future date,a Geotechnical Stability Exhibit will be prepared to fulfill the requirements.
