GBEA Wagner Pit#M2023038,Owner&Operator:Twin Buttes Land Co LLC 04/10/2024,Page 35 of 65
Road Dimensions (g)
As previously stated there are 1640 ft of roads within the pit boundaries. The roads are
unimproved and of the native soil and rock. A description of what is commonly called a
"two-track" road fits well (30 ft wide). Roads are not graveled or hardened. If
conditions warrant, the roads will be hardened with material from the pit ( e.g.,
operating during wet conditions).
..4
..J.. . .-.. _ ape.
-. ,, „ + • r.. ..
x
,ter ..t'l.
A+, .; Wagner Pit
::1;41'Y Unimproved Road(left)
• ,p r ,F" Dozer Access(center)
y„ x Feb27,2024-
f G9€A
Photo C-7. Typical two-track on the left with dozer access for mining in the center.
There are no culverts, shoulders, or waterways associated with roads within the pit
boundaries.
Water Usage (h)
There is no plan to utilize any on location water sources for the mining operation.
Surface Water and Runoff (i)
Water does have the potential to move across the pit during heavy summer monsoon
rains. On the north side, slightly outside of the pit boundary, there are dirt berms that
have been built to prevent water from flowing onto the multipurpose flat (Map C-1). At
the base of the High Wall there is a depression that will retain runoff from the top of the
High Wall. The depression dries quickly after the rains stop.
There should be no ground water encountered or utilized.
Water Rights (j)
There are water rights on West Douglas Creek and East Douglas Creek but given that
there is no water usage from West Creek or other sources, there will be no impact.
Water rights are located 5-6+ miles (Highway 139 mi. ) up and downstream from the pit.
See Map Appendix C-2 on page C-18 in Appendix C.
