• The topsoil piles will be reseeded with straight leaf
• vegetation during the spring or fall planting season
until the stockpile area has a stable stand of grass.
If outbreaks of insects become a problem.to the point they endanger
the successful establishment of the seeded vegetation on the
reclaimed area, they will also be controlled using methods
suggested by the Colorado State University Extension Service or the
Delta County Extension Service. All herbicides and pesticides
utilized will be those that are approved by the appropriate
Colorado and Federal government agencies responsible for the
approval and distribution of such agents.
Measures for Determinin4 Success of Revegetation
Reclamation success will be compared against a production standard
based upon previously obtained data. This method of determining
reclamation success was requested by TCC on July 12, 1988 and
subsequently approved. The standard is based on production
measured from an adjacent hayfield reference area during the years
1984 and 1985. The production during those years was 2625 and 2813
pounds per acre respectively.
Based upon the production measured from the adjacent hayfield the
production standard for determining revegetation success will be
2700 pounds per acre.

•
2.05-i4Ra
Revised 11-30-92
