1. Introduction <br /> <br />This blasting plan describe the procedures and conditions that Holcim US Inc. - Red Creek Project will use for <br />blasting limestone and overburden material. The limestone will be used at the Portland Cement Plant for the <br />production of cement. <br /> <br />Blasting activities will follow the general guidance and specifications in this plan. <br /> <br />2. Situation and objectives <br />The objectives of this report are: <br /> <br />• To present the Blasting Plan for the Red Creek Project. <br />• This plan provides guidelines and general conditions for all blasting activities that may occur at the <br />Red Creek Project site. <br /> <br />3. Blast Schedule Notification <br />3.1 Name, address & phone number of Operator <br /> <br />Hamza Mekhfi, Plant Manager <br />Holcim US - Portland Plant <br />3500 State Hwy 120 Florence, CO 81226 <br />719-288-1443, Fax 719-784-3470 <br /> <br />3.2 Identify where blasting will occur <br /> <br />Red Creek Quarry is comprised of six USGS Sections with a surface area total of approximately <br />3,851.05 acres. The geologic layers include, Fort Hays and Translime limestone with Golden Shale <br />and Smokey Hill overburden/waste rock. <br />For the report, the design blast was 50 holes, but it could be more or less in the daily work. The area is <br />0.109 acres <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
