EXHIBIT D- RECLAMATION PLAN
(6.3.4)
Reclamation of the disturbed area will occur following completion of the operation. Earlier
reclamation might occur in areas that meet the owner's leveling objectives. The area is currently
zoned as agricultural, and the final use will be to maximize level the area available for
construction of a building and storage area, with the remainder being agriculture and available
for grazing.
(a) No overburden is removed from the site, thus no overburden will be replaced.
(b) Regulations suggest that reclaimed hillside slopes not exceed 1 to 3 (V:H) and the
design calls for no slopes to exist that exceed this slope. At the time of reclamation,
topsoil that has been collected will be used as cover and as seed bed to support
grasses. Since surplus topsoil will be collected from across the entire area to be
leveled and regraded, sufficient volumes should be available to cover the sloped
areas. As the leveled area is to be used for a shop and storage, the native material
remaining at the bottom of the pit is anticipated to make suitable road base, so no
reclamation will occur across the leveled area.
(c)(i) The stockpiled soil will be sufficiently large to allow placement of 6 inches of soil
over the completed slope areas. Since the soil is the original soil that covered the
area, no amendments or modifications are deemed necessary. The level area will
be finished with a gravel surface using native materials sourced from directly
below.
