at the permit area have been found to be acid generating, so no acid or toxic producing
materials are anticipated to become exposed during mining. Per standard good
workmanlike practice, refuse generated by the project will be properly disposed of.
Since there is no groundwater to be encountered, and no discharge to surface waters,
there is no conflict with current Colorado water laws.
(1)(m) Processing of the material, as defined in Rule 1 of Mineral Rules and Regulations, is
interpreted to exclude excavating of the material, dozing or loading it in trucks and
transporting it. There are no permanent mining—related structures to be located on the
site, nor are any mining-related chemicals to be used.
(1)(n) The primary goal is for the owner of the property to develop a level area on the site, and
the only product will be the excess material that will not be needed on the site. That
product is basically gravelly in nature and can be used as such. If any crushing or
screening is found to be necessary or useful, it will be done on an as-needed basis and
incorporate the use of portable equipment.
(1)(o) Explosives are not anticipated to be used nor are considered necessary for this site. In
the unlikely event explosives might ever be needed in the future, a private contractor,
trained in their use and properly licensed to do the work, will be contracted.
(2) Neither milling nor tailings are part of the process, thus no discussion is necessary.
